The Big Buddha hike was without doubt one of the greatest daytrips we have endured. Such a nice day! After we all happily woke up, a taxi drove us from our hotel to the start destination of our hike. Here we met our guide and group, and then we optimistically started our adventure. 40 secounds in, and Helena goes:” I regret this, why are we doing this to ourselves?” as we climbed a little, but steep hill. Little did she know the hardest part had yet to come. But we all made it to Big Buddha, and it was so much fun. We saw the most beautiful forest paths, and the view from the top was wonderful! Helena even got blessed by a munk! I drank 3 coconuts as neither Anna or Helena like them, wow such freaks. After that I was so full they almost had to roll me around. Later on we visited a temple in Chalong, had lunch, and drove back to the hotel. Tired, but happy. Memories for a lifetime.
